L'angolo di Mondello - Trattoria da Franco
About
After a refreshing morning on Mondello Beach, it's time for the quintessential Sicilian experience: a fresh seafood lunch right by the sea! Mondello is renowned for its excellent seafood restaurants, many with tables practically on the sand, offering breathtaking views of the bay. Imagine indulging in a perfectly grilled swordfish, a plate of "pasta con le ricci" (pasta with sea urchins), or a vibrant "fritto misto" (mixed fried seafood), all while the gentle ocean breeze cools your skin. The fish here is often caught just hours before it reaches your plate, ensuring unparalleled freshness. Locals flock here for the weekend seafood feast. Ask for the "catch of the day" for the freshest recommendation. It's a culinary highlight, blending incredible flavors with an unforgettable setting.
Local tip
Look for the catch of the day, often grilled simply with lemon and olive oil to highlight its freshness.
